here's the thread that should allow you to indulge yourself on who's chic and who's fab
who's got glam and who's got flab
(does it sound like it came from a fashion mag? i was going for that tone lol)
ok seriously
who's got the most dashing outfit in the series?
and who's got the most corniest get-up?
critic anything that's got to do with the fashion sense of all Suikoden characters
from accessories to hairdo/s to face paints
oh and remember don't E-numerate, E-laborate
(ugh, cheesiness creeping all over me)

Re: Suikoden's Fashion Sense
Let's be careful not to make one word opinions in his topic, as Mio said E-labourate on your choices.
Clearly the height of fashion in any Suikoden game are the narcissists. Milich being the epitomy with his closets in his Gregminster's home. Reibach is also very good with the puffy pantaloons and feather'd cap, especially in a game as drab as Suikoden IV.
Josephine is also elegant with her silver hair and parasol, being the resident Fashion Diva. She also recognizes Sialeeds' beautiful outfit, of which Sialeeds designed herself.

Re: Suikoden's Fashion Sense
I always found Futch an interestingly dressed fellow in Suikoden 2. The tunic with an over clothe and tight black pants with that funky head piece. I've always thoguht it looked right for him but at the same time the color choice was poor IMO.
Tir, boy does he dress something funky. Yellow pants, red and yellow shirts and a green bandana! It's funny how Ain Guide mentions how Tir, the son of a general wouldn't dress like a bum. Although I liked his dress in the Suikoden world his style is clearly a no-no in fashion world.

It's a circlet he got from his adoptive father, Genkaku.
I like Freyjadour (SV hero, although that spelling may be off), personally. It's too bad they didn't allow you to change his outfits, like with Snowe in the fourth game.
Lily's outfit from the third game is petty snazzy, although I don't like her personality at all.

Re: Suikoden's Fashion Sense
Maybe its because she was a little girl in S2, she did look kind of wierd in the purple outfit, suited her though. I think it was wierd how the main characters of the first two games dressed alike...both red and orangish colors and tunics, but Tir is hip...he was already going for bandanas. Oh and I liked how the little boys that wore the blue jumpsuit type things in S2 had there caps side ways.

I personally had a love for the broad shouldered Crimson Knight known as General Kiba. Something about his simplistic yet elegant style sets my heart a flutter.

Um... Duh. Killey and Pesmerga for me. I really like Killey's hat. And Pesmerga just looks like he's about to ruin somebody's day, all the time.

Re: Suikoden's Fashion Sense
No he is just wearing daisy-dukes, a belt, vest and bandana...yeah it was freaky...liked the bandana though and it went okay with his vest but those tiny short shorts is like something my dad is required to wear in the military but his arn't really that tight. Lazlo's looked okay once you got used to it, but I can't really picture him in anything else really.

Re: Suikoden's Fashion Sense
i was trying to associate Lazlo's outfit to a girly attire (i deliberately picked girly terms)
so far, all heroes were light clothed
is this a static trend or will we ever see a heavy armored protagonist?
Chris Lightfellow ain't counted since y'know how complicated SIII is

Re: Suikoden's Fashion Sense
I'd think Frey's "Incognito" costume is one of my favorites, mostly because it's perplexing.
I've never seen a commoner in any town of the game use such a bright red for their attire, not to mention having it so flowing.

Re: Suikoden's Fashion Sense
So far I've had no problem with any of the hero's clothing, including the one's from Suikoden 3. The only clothing I had issue with was the Prince's orange outfit, when I first saw the prince I though he was a girl. But the red one was awesome and the Queens kngith uniform he gets at the end was cool to.
Edit: And why do you feel a hero must wear heavy armor??
