Some guy called into a local radio station claiming that after waiting in line for three days, somebody paid him $4000 for his spot in line.people were even selling their spots in line for $1000 to $2000 even before the actual sale. That didn't even include the PS3 cost. I saw one go for $1000.

I don't know but to me the PS3 has been way overhyped. It’s a poweful system don't get me wrong and it will be cool but seems that Sony is trying to say that it is better than a computer at least thats the impression I got when I watched the advertisement display. Which IMO is completely retarded it will never be better then the comp doesn't matter if it is gaming or something else.
What really gets me laughing is the idiots that pay 1000 or more on ebay and for a system that anyone who knows tech stuff knows is going to have some bugs and glitches that will need to be worked out and most likley doesn't even do half of what Sony says it can do.
Personally I am willing to wait a year or more like I did with the PS2 and get a sound system at a reasonable price. I have heard that they are releasing not one but three packages from a friend that works at Wal- Mart in the Electronics dept. Besides I bought the Wii and am enjoying it so it will keep me occupied until the new Suikoden comes out for the PS3.

unless it's the hardware that has problems, the only thing that can make a well-known, well-sold system fail is the games.. ... or maybe piracy. *looks at sega*.....Occam Arkitect wrote:Like me.
Well, seriously Sony has never let me down and the only way I'm gonna have some negative thoughts is when they indeed fail me. The PS3 has tons of potential and I'm sure the extra $ will be worth it.

Sony will be shipping off 100,000 PS3 units each week to all retail stores. There goal is to ship off one million PlayStation 3 units by the end of the year.
Expect to find the consoles in the stores on Friday's. There isn't expected to be more than six PlayStation 3's at each store. Call your local retailers to confirm that they have the PlayStation 3's before making the trip.

Some hooligan keeps disconnecting the alarm. I told Security to look into it. But no, no, they'd rather catch the guy who's stealing organs from the transplant ward!!
