For me, it's all about the guitar...

I bought the first Ozzy solo album "Blizzard of Ozz" and Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast" on vinyl back in the early 80's and I've been hooked on metal ever since. Anything from Maiden and Priest to Dream Theater to Evergrey to Amon Amarth and Nile, it's all about the blistering guitar.

I also find I have a huge appreciation for guitarists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Eric Johnson and Joe Satriani, but it always comes back to metal...

What's awesome is that after a small hiatus in the 90's, metal is back with the help of the internet. Over the last 5 years I have found bands like Jag Panzer, Blind Guardian, Brainstorm, Symphorce, Evergrey, Hammerfall, Paragon and Iced Earth.

It's good to be a metalhead these days...

I love almost everything, but metal is my favorite. I really love Dragonforce, Avenged Sevenfold, Nightwish and Lacuna Coil, as well as some old school Metallica and Ozzy. I'm sarting to get into this Christian metal band called Withtin Temptation.

I like stuff that mixes Heavy Metal elements with Orchestra elements (violin, percusion, piano, soothing femal vocals) Ever since I got a myspace (myspace.com/hermit_li) I've been finding out about a bunch of really cool local bands.
Everyone loves Dragons. Cause If they don't.... >;(

What do you look for in music. Different people look for different things. My music prefrence is so wide but only because i listen to what has meaning. I like music that has some kind of meaning, whether it's symbolic, metaphorical, or just straight up to the point. Right now, i'm jamming out to tv on the radio staring at the sun. i haven't really thought much about what it means yet but i think it means regardless of where your at or what your doing you can always waste your life away. You can realize this try to do something about it and it still want matter unless you do it with heart. I listen to such a variety like i stated above, but only because true music can't be defined and bordered up with genres.

This really sucks; it really made me sad the other day when I heard about this.
Drummer Witold "Vitek" Kieltyka of the Polish extreme metal band DECAPITATED passed away in a Russian hospital from injuries sustained in a recent road collision. He was 23 years old.

Vitek and DECAPITATED singer Covan (real name: Adrian Kowanek) were hurt in an accident earlier in the week involving DECAPITATED's tour bus and a truck carrying wood in Gomel, on the Russia/Belarus border. Both musicians reportedly sustained serious head injuries in the collision, which is believed to have been the fault of the band's driver (although this has not yet been officially confirmed).
23 is such a terrible age to die at.

I was sad to hear that Paul Raven from Killing Joke died recently too.

I dislike Rap very much and yell msuic (Anythign were the people just stand there yellign like idiots for whatever minutes).

I really will listen to anything though. There is SOME rap that is pretty decent like Akon that isn't talkign abotu guns and drugs and that you can understand the lyrics. I liek Country and Classical and I will lsiten to pretty much any good sounding song. I love Videogame music to, especially from RPGS or Fighting games like Soul Calaber III.

And all the rappers think they're such bigshots; even BEFORE they make it, even with their first CDs they still put out songs that talk about what badasses they are and how rich they are and how many hoes they've got. Not to mention their songs usually sound ridiculously similar.

...ten or eleven years ago, I wanted to BE a Spice Girl... Geri aka "Ginger Spice" is the whole reason I dyed my hair red for the first time.

lol my Sister loves the Spice Girls, I don't think they are bad at all.

On another note I just got some Atmosphere songs and they were not that bad, so I take back my previous statement about Rap. 8)
