Re: Your taste in music
I listen to a fair bit of music, though I do looking at my music taste like more metal.
But I like Metal (Power/Gothic/Black/Viking/Folk etc)
J-Rock/Pop
Classic Rock, Hard Rock
Classical
Some Pop too.
I dislike things like House, Dance, Trance, Drum 'n' Bass etc
My favourite bands include
Iron Maiden
X Japan
Queen
Megadeth
Dir En Grey
Edguy
Iced Earth...to name a handful it would take ages to list every single band.
I tend to listen to whatever I like to listen to, I have many bands who people say i'm odd for liking...but then again do I care.
I also dislike music snobs who pick on other peoples music tastes, or feel that if a band is to "popular" they are rubbish. Good music is good music so I say let people listen to what they want in peace.

My favorite bands are Sikth, Sonata Arctica, and Extreme. You NEED to listen to Sikth if you like metal.

We have 1 or 2 of his albums. I play the piano and tried to study his "Wonderland" but got bored and gave it up. My kuya (you know what that means! ) is a fan of his, also playing the piano. He plays The Bumblebee.Gen. Dirge wrote:Does anyone here listen to Maksim Mrvica?

'The Trees Are Dead...' was fantastic but I thought 'Death Of A Dead Day' left a lot to be desired. They did well to call it quits after that album.Bernadette Egan wrote:My favorite bands are Sikth, Sonata Arctica, and Extreme. You NEED to listen to Sikth if you like metal.
If you like Sikth you should check out Psyopus. Similar band, if a little heavier.

The new Mastodon album is fantastic - I can't stop listening to it. The new Kylesa is supposed to be pretty good, I'lll probably end up buying it soon.Lemmy Claypool wrote:Baroness are focking fantastic.Michael Easton wrote:Everyone should listen to Baroness.

Psyopus are awesome, but completely insane. I wish I could shred like Chris Arp.Lemmy Claypool wrote:If you like Sikth you should check out Psyopus. Similar band, if a little heavier.

OMGees. "Flight of the Bumblebee"? Your bro is a tank! I can never pull that one off in a million years. Do you know how to play "Claudine" and "the Flower Duet", too? I love those two! I loved both of Sikth's albums. I thought they were great. I'll have to check that other band out.
