curious items

Steele dropped some Gold Ore or something when i defeated him--is there any purpose to it or should i just cash it in for the 5000 (or was it 2000..)?

update: what do elemental fragments do? i never got to keep one, as i would restart battles in which i won them to try to achieve a higher rank -_-

You'll need a few of them for a quest later, but that's it.

You also get some when recruiting Rene. I didn't sell them because I figured I could use them later. That and the furball pelts from Razril.

Save your elemental fragments. There's an important quest later on that wants one of each =)

Indeed. I have tons of them except for Lightning. I can't seem to get one. I guess it's time to use Noah.

Got the exact same problem as you Angelis, I think I'm just gonna have to go to the second floor of the Obel Ruins, it's the only place I can think of that has even a chance of having a Lightning element for me to steal from.

And is Noah a guy?

not sure if this will help you guys, but I have gotten the lighning element without stealing, in fact...all of the elements I got were by killing those elemental flame things

Can you steal from the elemental orbs, or does it have to be from the elemental fighters, found in Obel Ruins?

when I said elemental flame things, I meant those elemental fighters, not the orbs which float around and do nothing

Can you steal from the orbs though? I get the feeling that the fragments may be part of their bodies and not something they keep in their non-existant pockets.
