a few months ago i created an american PSN account.
and while looking through the games on sale i saw the PS2 Classic Suikoden 3
now by this point i had already bought and downloaded the PAL version of suikoden 3 that came out last year and discovered that the save files i had for the american version of suikoden 3 that i bought several years ago are no use to me on the ps3.
so my question is thus. if i were to spring the $10 for the american ps2 classic copy of this game. would my virtual ps2 save files i have on my ps3 work for the ps2 classic version?

Since the PSN game doesn't use virtual memory cards, no.

damn
altho i suppose it'll save me some money
seems sort of stupid tho. what the hell is the point of porting the games for the ps3 if we have to start from scratch when we start playing them?

@knight85: SO people who never bought the game originally or don't have their original hardware anymore can still play it.
