Same star name?

I was looking through the star list to make sure I had everyone and I noticed that some stars have the same name, yet different meanings. For example

Tenyu
Star of Bravery Kuan Sheng
The Great Sword Humphrey Humphrey Dupa Tal
Tenyu
Star of Heroic Feorcity Ling Ch'ung
The Leopard Headed Kasim Hauser Yuber Izak

There are more stars like this. I'm confused as to how this is possible and how to tell the difference when I'm just looking a "How to Recruit" list that just tells you the name of the star.

These stars have names that have the same pronounciation, so there is no way to differentiate between them. The names are different in the original chinese characters.

Homophones are quite common in Japanese. These words are pronounced the same, but have different meanings.

It's probably best to consider the exact location of your missing star(s) on the tablet when using the guide, because it lists stars by the same order.
