CJ's Runebarrows dungeon: Material Symbol and Elemental Symbol

The Runebarrows dungeon boss is interesting. You can actually keep fighting this boss as many times as you want, and you can toggle the 4 power switches to fight different versions of it.

Weakest version: The intended method of beating this boss is turning off all of the power switches. You can farm Material Symbols and Elemental Symbols! These are probably the best defensive accessories in the game.

Strongest version: fighting the hardest version of the boss can get your team to around level 70, although there is also the Mystery Dungeon that can take you even further.

I might have rushed through this....where was this again? Is it a side quest? Can I go back and redo in case I missed this??

The boss aside, this dungeon also has some of the best quality-of-life accessories like the Super Lucky and Wealth Badges too. Definitely recommended to unlock it as soon as you can.

What do they do exactly?

Material symbol gives +20 resistance against slash/thrust/smash/grapple/throw, effectively -20% physical damage.

Elemental symbol does the same, but +20 for all magic elements, and effectively -20% magical damage.

Thanks! I wish they gave us numbers in the game instead of terms like "moderate" or "strong" etc. Or: if the damage taken was displayed similar to the additional damage from elemental magic, for example like "100...-20".
