I'm not sure you can recruit Tetsu before all the mandatory Two River recruits (Chaco etc), because access to the Two River Kobold district to buy Fried Tacos is blocked and/or you don't have any money. Or is it possible to go to Two River, sell some of your inventory, and then go to the Kobold district and buy the Fried Tacos? Can you leave Two River after you enter it and trigger the story?

The bestiary guide for Suikoden II says Lakeweat instead of Lakewest:

Yeah, you can exit Two River after Chaco steals your wallet, fight some monsters or sell some items in the shops and get into the Kobold district and out again before you get trapped inside. You can get into the Kobold district while you're supposed to be chasing Chaco in the Winger section and leave Two River all together and get Tetsu.

Mind you, most people won't but it's possible.

Ah, interesting to know, I thought the exit of Two River was blocked.

The Suikoden II SoD guide lists Tomo twice:

It also says Tsai mentions his tools. You can actually bring Tsai to his house directly after returning from Toran without any mention of tools and still recruit Tomo.

Yeah, it mentions her twice because she has two possible stars. Same with Siegfried, Abizboah and Feather.

The Suikoden II bestiary lists the Golden Wolf as Muse#2, but it should be Muse #4 (right before the Rockaxe mission).
