Re: Tir in HD
Well, it's not really HD, but it's not a 2D sprite either.
I wonder just how many members of the Suikoden team are working on Frontier Gate alone? Glad to see they haven't forgotten how to be awesome, anyway.

It's a pretty nice addition to Frontier Gate. Kinda makes me wish the game was coming out over here.
Then again, it's a PSP JRPG. We might need to rely on companies like XSEED, NISA, or Atlus to localize and publish it.

Re: Tir in HD
It's a good candidate for XSEED as it's not tied to a big series (Konami would never let them have Suikoden, for example), but sadly the word is they are rethinking the PSP after the disappointing sales of Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.
The system really is that kind of dead outside Japan that companies can't even recoup money just localizing a game.

That's a nice touch.
Maybe it's a sign that they do appreciate the main Suikoden world, and would return to it in Tsumugareshi.
Wishful thinking is therapeutic, certainly.

Actually, all three localizing/publishing companies I named have come out and said the PSP isn't worth their time anymore. NISA is the only one banking on digital sales and Vita being able to play digital PSP games to justify their localization of Black Rock Shooter (digital release only).Darkbeat wrote:It's a good candidate for XSEED as it's not tied to a big series (Konami would never let them have Suikoden, for example), but sadly the word is they are rethinking the PSP after the disappointing sales of Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.

Are you sure? They've done both Wild ARMs and Shadow Hearts after all and I'm not sure either is that much smaller than Suikoden really.Darkbeat wrote:It's a good candidate for XSEED as it's not tied to a big series (Konami would never let them have Suikoden, for example)

Re: Tir in HD
It's not so much about the series size as it is about which company owns the IP.

Isn't the Wild ARMs brand owned by Sony though?

Just as Komuta planned, then.

Funny though how he throws in costumes from the games he had the least to do with but nothing so far from that abysmal Tierkreis he felt was worth destroying the series over. Even if he throws in references to better games I'm about as interested in Frontier Gate as I am in a lobotomy, combination Tri-Ace + Komuta = no chance in hell.
