Many names in Suikoden V directly come from Persian/Iranian mythology (especially the Shahnameh) and Zoroastrianism:
The Dahak's name is based on that of Aži Dahāka, an evil monster from iranian folklore. The monster has three heads, represented on the Dahak as three dragon figurines. It is eventually slain at the end of the world by the hero Kirsarsp, namesake of the Kulsasper. (https://gensopedia.org/w/Dahak)

Bahram (Luger): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bahram_(Shahnameh)

... and so on. Sometimes it is hard to identify names, because they changed in the course of localization (and some have multiple ways of spelling and pronunciation anyway9.

Some are more generically referring to the Iranian culture:
Mohsen - Iranian first name meaning something like "the benevolent"
Eresh - an ancient Sumerian city OR Akkadian pronunciation of a Sumerian word which can denote a "queen" or a "priestess".

Not every name has a meaning, probably. But this is the main influence for most of them.

How is the name Dahak traditionally pronounced? In Suikoden 5, during a cutscene, Lucretia pronounces it like "Da-har-kuh".
In Xena Warrior Princess there was an evil god called Dahak which they pronounce "day-hock"
