So, to add to this... this is the data from the ELF file (with PNACH codes included) as to what the bosses drop, if the item is one time only, and what the odds of the given item "sets" are for each boss...

Alright, so I went ahead and did that. It's still a work in progress though. Using save states, I've given every treasure boss up through chapter 4 about a hundred runs. Some many times more than that, trying to confirm the repeatable items, since I couldn't quite decipher that from ronnen's chart. I didn't care so much about the junk items or items that could be bought, so I marked all of the ones that perhaps somebody else could confirm. I'll continue checking through the chapter 5 treasure bosses as I have time.

Just as an example, I probably beat down the BlueMantik a good 500 times trying to stockpile Double-Strike runes early, and I only found 4 Earth Magic Rings and 4 Taikyoku Tunics. Azzodess was equally as stubborn with Fire Magic Rings for me. This could have been bad luck, or maybe the item is just that rare. Which is why I'm uncomfortable confirming anything as a one time item even after 100 kills. Unfortunately, this process is mind numbing after a period of time.

Do I just have astoundingly bad luck or can you not get Fire Magic Rings from Chris's Chapter 3 Azzoddess? I fought it upwards of 10 times and didn't get one any of the times. I had no problem getting them with Geddoe.

you can get multiple Fire Magic Rings with anybody; it's just normally very rare. i had a save where i had at least 3 Fire Magic Rings with each hero so that I could choose any of the 3 as the Flame Champion and equip the rings immediately (the inventory is based on the FC you choose).

I was planning on having each of them smuggle in a Fire Magic Ring in their equipment but I goofed and left the one I got for Geddoe on Joker before I switched scenarios. That should work though, right? They don't lose their equipment when they meet up, do they?

Part of me wants to start over and farm hardcore with Geddoe but... there's no real reason to do that if everyone can get them. Plus, I have two Earth Magic Rings, a bunch of Killer Runes, a Double-Strike Rune, and sooooo many Lightning Magic Rings (why will those drop like candy but no Fire Magic Rings?)

I read in another topic that luck affected the drop rates but... that doesn't make any sense... or does it? I mean... I can KIND of see it since I was trying to do my farming with Ayame and Landis and they're not all that lucky. I tagged Estella in for Landis so the luck got a little better but... Ayame is still dead weight if that is the case.

I decided to play Suikoden 3 again, and now that I am right before the final boss battle, I am running through all the Treasure Bosses and Random Battles in Order to push the skills of some charakters to the maximum. And I must admit that i am very impressed. The loot and the amount of skill points they give me heheheheh!

I never looked at this before, but based on how the data is structured, it looks like Dream Robe is definitely a possible drop after the first time beating the Ch 5 Twin Snake, and Dragon Scale and Flame Casque are 1-time drops.

The first item is definitely the item given out the first time you beat that boss. Treasure 2 through 6 are the random drops later on, and the Chance is related to the chance an item from this bucket appears. 20% chance? But Dream Robe is 1/5 and we can't tell from this list if there are different chances for the items listed in each bucket are selected.


Another item of interest, Blood Armor, is supposed to be a common drop by the Copper Sun. I definitely never farmed this guy due to the amount of walking needed.

Confirmed random Blood Armor drop by Copper Sun in Cyndar and random Fury Rune from Ghost Knight at Mountain Path (ch 4).
Robe of Mist is also a random obtainable from the North Cavern Ghost Knight.

Update: and finally, I have confirmed the Dream Robe is indeed a random item from the Ch 5 Twin Snake!
