A young man from another world, Atrie is a leader of the Starbearers in his own world, trying to combat the One King. He originally came to the Hero’s world to speak to a man he had known previously. The Hero had seen that man before in a vision, and silently thinks that the man Atrie seeks is deceased, but doesn't have the heart to tell Atrie himself. Atrie and the Hero become very close, and they share advice on how to defeat the One King. It is Atrie who tells the Hero about the idea of uniting the stars to succeed against the One King, but the Hero dismisses that idea in favor of preventing his descent. When the Hero tells Atrie about the plan to use the False Chronicles, Atrie supports the plan and turns his efforts towards that idea. Atrie fights the One King at the same time as the Hero, and manages to defeat him. Just before the Gateways close, Atrie and the Hero talk one last time.
