A seeker of rare tomes and books, Alhazred was especially interested in a cursed tome he heard was in Rainwall. However, there were no shops that carried it. Before leaving, Alhazred warned the shopkeep not to open the book. As it turns out, Euram Barows owned the book, and wanted to use it against the Prince to curse him. However, his plan backfired and the book started to drain Euram's life. Alhazred and the Prince worked to seal the book again, and Alhazred joined the Prince's army afterwards. Alhazred takes offense to being called a "peddler" or salesman, as he only collects books; he never sells them. He is a very rich man, rich enough to sell out large fortunes for rare tomes. He doesn't like books that are not rare, and is disinterested in the literary treasures destroyed in Lordlake and Lelcar. - Matt620 (article), Basel (image)
