The younger brother of Morrin, Yovel came with her to be her bodyguard while she traveled, hunting for Icas. When Icas was found by the company, he traveled with her to retrieve the vagabond, only to be ambushed by Ouragan. Morrin orders Yovel to protect her, but Yovel, being a young boy, was too scared to fight a highly trained assassin. The Hero fends the assassin off, and Yovel, impressed with his skill despite being so young, asks to join him.

Yovel, to hide his age, wears an old beekeepers mask to intimidate his opponents, which actually proves quite effective when they were traveling. Morrin wants him to wear the mask all the time, but Yovel protests it. When Yovel’s mask is glued to his face as a prank, he suspects Morrin, only for her to assert her own innocence, as Yovel can’t remove the mask to even eat, and Morrin would never do something so cruel. Yovel, once Autar is thought to be the suspect, rules out the Roar, as there was no fur on the adhesive used.
