Critical Hit %: ( Tech + Luck/2 ) / 16
Hit %: (Hero TECH - (Enemy SPEED-80))
The minimum hit% is 35% and maximum is 100%
*This Enemy SPEED is often a global SPEED value based on the area you are exploring
Multiple Hits: ( Your Speed - Enemy Speed) / 4 = Multi hit %age
Chance of damaging enemies in mass combat: IF ((Attack Power + 4) - Enemy DEF) > Random Number (0-19), then damage.
Chance of being injured in mass combat: 60 - (Luck / 10)%
Chance of being killed in mass combat: 50 - (Luck / 20)%
Mass combat special attacks:
Fire Spear - 50% chance per target.
Adlai - 50% for all targets.
Luc - 30% chance to hit.
Jeane - 2 30% chances to hit (!)
Chance of Viki screwing up teleporting: 2%

Is the TECH stat only used to determine your chances at a critical hit? I always thought it would have at least something to do with the number of attacks a character can perform.

are there any formulas regarding the chance of a normal attack causing Knockdown? it seems any character can do it.
also, some characters who can be Wounded or Killed in the war battles don't have stats...

So the critical hit formula is (tech + luck) / 32, meaning an average character (lets say 128 tech, 128 luck) has a critical rate of 8% ?

Also, even with only 1speed he was attacking faster than the monsters (he was slower than them with 1speep 1luck)
Multi Hit: 16/25 (a lot of triple hit)
Critical: 5/25

yeah but that 255 LUK one is suspicious because he was still attacking before the Bon Bons... i remember playing this area and both Hero and Tuta attacked AFTER the Bon Bons on my first few battles...
may we should compare same speed different LUK to see if affects turn order..

Fire Emblem's fire resistance reduces fire damage by 50%. Fire Lizard normally deals 50% damage back at the user (and NO, PDF/MDF does not reduce it).. with a Fire Emblem (or 2, or 3) you will receive 25% of the damage dealt instead.

berserk status increases ATK by 50% while Double-Strike increases (physical) damage dealt after defense reduces it.

I had no idea Luck played such a significant role in critical hits. I knew it played some, but I figured TECH was a much more important variable. I have to go find me some more Luck rings--especially for DBG!
Boy, it's too bad Shin doesn't have a free rune slot. A Killer would look great on him. Both his Luck and and Tech are pretty high (I think the highest combo of both.); give him a Master Garb and Tech and Luck rings and the guy would be a monster.

I used lvl 99 char to prevent them from gaining any stat from lvlup.
I can redo the tests with lvl 1, 50 and 99 and see if the results are similar and base them on 100successfull attacks instead of 25.
I used 25 because the results seemed pretty clear to me but 100 would provide more accurate informations.

try stats that are level 1 stats, not stat=1. maybe some formulas might not have been made to use values too low..

while the if-condition cannot be negative...
You have always at least a 5% chance of inflicting damage.

As far as the multi hit formula goes, most people know it has something to do with speed. This may not have any backing, but:
I've played through this game several times. Somewhere in the double digits now. I know Nanami is a great character for double attacking. This time through I stuck a Gale Rune on her, and equipped her with speed rings and a wind hat. She almost always multi attacked, her speed was so high. I actually had her hit four times in one turn; I thought the max (without a double beat rune) was 3, but now I've seen four. Coupled with a Fury Rune (double strike would have likely been better with Battle oath) she was probably the best Nanami I have ever had.
