You and me both. Most people think that the characters in Suikoden Four were underdeveloped because the staff was lazy, but now that this game has been spotted, it's probably because they wanted to develop the characters in this game; or in the next installment, Suikoden Five.patapi wrote:My only comment: I'm grateful that they decided to elaborate on Suikoden IV timeline/setting. For now.

Well I see the scan it defintly looks like it's in the Suiko4 timeline. (great.. ) But maybe it'll be better, hopefully.
Anyway this kind of reminds me of that rumor about the "Suikoden Tactics" or whatever it was that went around some time ago. Could that be this game? Or could this be something different?

Looking at that battle at the top of the screenshot poster thing. It really does look like Tinto, as i said earlier in the discussion.
The buildings are the same shape as building in the city of Tinto. The buldings in Tinto are gray just like that picture. In Obel there is grass, but there is none in that picture. There are mountains, and hills that lead up to other parts of the city (can go both ways though).
As my final comment: This is eithier a huge June Fouls joke made by a really good fan artist. Or real information, which im still in doubt of because the pictures are a little off by Suikoden standards.

... is it just me.... or does it look like Wild Arms 3 graphics!? Big hands and feet, pinheads, and colored characters with dull inaminate backgrounds? hmmm....

Most characters that seemed pointless in the original Suikoden quickly became fan favorites once the third installment was out. The same could happen with Suikoden Four, if Konami plays its cards right.

This looks good. I really hope they release a PAL version in NZ, I really want to play this game. Looks a little weird but overall can't be too bad. I also noticed the second to last pic (the one above the Obel throne room) seems to be at Middleport. I didn't see it mentioned so I though I should.
