Rune Sages
Hi!
How do you suppose rune sages go about putting runes into the hands/heads of people? I mean, how would it look?

Re: Rune Sages
Something like this?
So it would probably look a bit like a baptism or something (without any water) but like a ritual where the sage holds her hands out majestically and invokes the rune's power into the client. It would be nice if they actually did have animations for it. There are occasionally major scenes where a rune becomes attached to a character, for example in Suikoden 1 when Ted passes the soul eater to Tir, or when young Ted receives it from his grandfather (grandpa even vocally commanded the rune to pass onto Ted) and Suikoden 4 and 5 had a lot of rune animations, which were 3d so looked a lot more detailed, so I guess it's supposed to look kind of like that.

Re: Rune Sages
Maybe the rune sage examines the customers hands and check whether a rune is suitable to be attached. It's a lot like Chinese accupuncture actually. That's the reason why it's so cheap to attach a rune to your hands or your head.

Re: Rune Sages
Wouldn't that mean that they nail the rune on the body parts where the rune is to be attached? That sounds extremely painful.
Although it would explain why it's called "attach"....

Re: Rune Sages
I stick to ritual process after seeing how the Destroyers in S3 extract(remove) True runes from the 3 heroes in chapter 4. So i simply think attaching a rune might be just doing that ritual reversely (in S5, see how Jeane tried to attach the Sun rune on Lym)

Re: Rune Sages
Uh.....no. That would be totally exagerating. It just helps to calm down any negative elemental chis; that's all. Such as red chis and yellow chis.

That's awe-fully disrespectful against East Asian Cultures. We're not all the same, no, we don't all look exactly the same either. That's just plain racist.

sticky-runes made a chi related cheese joke. Just because it wasn't very good doesn't mean that it was racist.Noraibah wrote:That's awe-fully disrespectful against East Asian Cultures. We're not all the same, no, we don't all look exactly the same either. That's just plain racist.
