On top of drawing the artwork in Suikoden Tierkreis' OST, Ishikawa also seems to be drawing new art for digital collectable cards. Credit to solofye of the Suikox forums for pointing this out:

Most of Ishikawa's recent activity at Konami (at least what we've been hearing about) has been geared towards Suikoden. This should not be taken as "Ishikawa is working on the next installment" because we've all been burned before. However, this is still worth pointing out as a topic of interest.

Hold on a sec, is that first card Riou in his general's armor?
Anyway, this is still news that Konami hasn't abandoned Suikoden. It further pushes the belief that Konami will at the very least publish *something* named Genso Suikoden at some point in the future.

Nice of them to make a new Millie design when I'm halfway through making her outfit...
The only thing Suikoden lacks...is dinosaurs.

Is that Shu on the third card?
It's not all about knowledge, but it helps.

I believe it is, with a slight wardrobe change.

Riou's battle outfit is exactly the same as the one from CardStories http://suikosource.com/games/card/list/
but sheesh, why are they making these collectible things that are probably collected by a handful of people?

Seems more like a tie-in with Konami DX (mobile service) rather than a full-on collector's item for the franchise. It almost seems like those cards are in fact mobile phone backgrounds rather than physical cards for the time being.

I'm proud that we are starting to see additional releases of various products and the use of capitalism to promote Suikoden.
We of faith pray that this will lead to additonal Suikoden related activity for the community to absorb.
Thank you
Ryan.
