You'd be surprised. I could actually go through Muse, South Window and Radat without looking at the screen. xDtiki wrote:Put a blindfold on and play it. See how far you get.

You can use the Fire Sealing Rune as a counter for the damage the Fire Dragon/Lizard causes.highwind44029 wrote:Zamza's Fire Dragon also works. Interesting challenge, but I imagine it will be very difficult. Earth Rune would most likely be your best friend with Clay Guardian, Revenge Earth and Canopy Defense.
Can Jowy be used at the start as a "shield" for experience during the early stages until you could get the Fire Lizard rune? Boss fights are definitely going to be tough. There is also risk for the Fire Lizard rune-bearer. What if s/he suddenly makes a critical attack when you don't intend for it? XD

In my last game I used Luc as main melee damage dealer.
I bumped his stats with the stones and put kidness rune in weapon, with the other 3 runes, he was a raging beast. ( he did a crit of 9000 to the rune of the Beast rune )

Hmm... that could be quite a challenge. Reversing roles, i.e., turn physical damagers into magic users, and magic users to melee damagers, like 27x4=108 did with Luc.

Except that the Physical damagers won't really have that many spells at their disposal

Well, yeah, you're right. It does not apply to all warriors though. It suits better for "mage knights" like Flik, and some others.

I'm not sure if anyone has posted this, but how about fighting Luca at full HP? That is, kill Flik and Viktor off so the Hero's party will fight him at full HP.
Or about fighting Luca at full HP with ONLY the Hero in the third party?

I've done the first one, just takes longer and is more tedious.

@Hirathien I believe you have seen my post earlier about my party against full HP Luca. It took me 7 turns to beat him the slow and hard way, but I'm not sure about the minimum number of turns I need to kill him. Maybe fewer, maybe more. It isn't that tedious to me, as long as I cast Clay Guardian + Revenge Earth on my attackers, then my mages cast their strongest available spells. I'm going to try it again with a different party.

The only thing I really do to challenge myself is to change at least 2 or 3 characters in my party each time I play and try to see how strong they can get. (without using glitches, hacks, gameshark Ect)

How about a game where you beat every enemy in one round..?

Can't be done. You'll fail against the first enemies.

Fire arrows can beat the first enemies, if your talking bout the highlanders.
Only problem I see is with Rowd, but other than that it could be done.

Re: [Discussion] Ways to make Suikoden II more challenging
Problem is, unless you cheat, Buddy Attack may not be enough to take down an enemy party in one turn if Riou and Jowy aren't strong enough, and Flaming Arrows scrolls will be very difficult to get by. Or you can run away each battle and hope you can escape each time all the way to the next boss battles, where you would probably save the Flaming Arrows for.
Let me emphasize what I said earlier. UNLESS YOU CHEAT.
