I've not trusted the European Konami site for ages. It only works on IE and can't spell Falena right. Hell, it says that the player searches for the Sun Rune. At the beginning of the game, isn't in a temple?

From the Konami-Europe news page on Suikoden V-
Featuring unparalleled depth of gameplay, Suikoden V thrusts the players into a time of unrest. Cast as an unlikely hero, players are charged with traveling the lands of Farlena in search of a mythical Sun Rune.
I really, really don't trust them ;P

Still, I'll pre-order it on Amazon.co.uk soon and we'll see.

(If I remember right, Amazon penned Suikoden IV's release date as 25th February 05 around Christmas 04. So I trust 'em.)

Some Spain shops list the game to be released on 21 September.

Ok, lets make a lottery, all put money and the one who guess the real date takes the money :D

Heh, I would but I just burned £50-odd buying Suikoden on eBay.

Still, I hope it's 1st September. I'll shove a pre-order with Amazon soon. If I don't get it, I'mma switch my order to Play.com as they've dropped their price to £17.99 now.

Play.com is going to give me a heart attack.

The release date was shifted to September 22nd, but luckily the price has remained the same.

If it has to change again, I hope it's to an earlier date. I want to play this before school starts. >_>

Amazon.co.uk still has it penned for 1st.

Someone edited Wikipedia and put it as 22nd.

GamespotUK has it as 1st.

I think I'm gonna pre-order it on Amazon this weekend.

EDIT: This just in. Amazon has changed the date to 22nd. Could this be official?

EDIT (Uh-gen): Yay Konami?

EDIT (Third time's the charm): And, yes, GameSpotUK has changed to 22nd.

I think that's positive confirmation. Bugger. I wanted it to be the 1st.

Well it's obvious V isn't out by 1st September. Here's hoping 22nd.

Damn! If Suikoden V is released on the 22nd I don't know what I'm going to do since Kingdom Hearts II is released the following week (Plus Lego Star Wars II is out soon)! I hate when game companies release a ton of great games at the same time. I can only play one at a time damn it!

Rant aside, which should I play first - Suikoden V or Kingdom Hearts II?

Konami confirmation

Anyway, in my Imedia class today, I overheard people yakking about Kingdom Hearts. And I slagged it off straight off the bat. And what comments did they have as a comeback? "NO YOOR DUM D<"

I laughed. Heartily.

Judging from what happened to IV and Tactics' release, I'm saying it'll be right about 24 hours from the time of this post. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less.

KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED.

EDIT: Play.com's stock has arrived. It's gone already. >_>
