At the end of the game, Troy says that he was born of the sea, and will return to the sea, "to be born again."
I know that also during the course of the game he was referred to as the Child of the Sea God.
I don't get it. Born again? Is there something that I don't know about Troy? Is there very much backstory to it? Did he mean that literally?
Edit by Oppenheimer: Change title to differentiate this post from other Troy post.

Troy (Suiko 4) "Born Again"
You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes?
Why don't they make the whole plane out of that stuff?

Although it is slightly different from the focus of your thread ("born again") there is another thread on Troy for you to reference.
