I hate asking him about anything Suikoden related. Dude's there to talk about his new game and just chat with people, last thing I'd think he would want is people bombarding him with questions about random stuff from 20+ years ago he probably doesn't remember, lol.

There are some unused lines at the Fortress of Lorimar, as well.

In the text dump they appear before Flik says "That's strange, there's no answer at all."
They either could have been cut or it might be a situation like the extended banquet scene where it checks for an unlrelated flag and locks it out.
