Music in Tierkreis?

Post by qwsed »

How is the music? Is it like the second game? Is the sound totally new? Wich Suikoden is it most similar to?

From what I've heard, it sounds more like 5 with a hint of 3. Then again, Miura being the lead on the music basically means we should expect stuff that sounds more like the later games.

I've listened to the soundtrack thuroughly... in fact it hasn't left my car stereo for 3 playthroughs

To say I'm happy with it is a bit of an understatement. I will say that it is similar to SV's soundtrack stylistically. But I dare say it's evolved considerably and has a hint of style from the music in previous suikodens (particularly some of the town tracks.)

I absolutely love it. So I honestly feel that even if fans in this forum aren't as blown away as I was, they will atleast feel that the soundtrack is good, though maybe not great.

Whatever I think its fantastic!

It's a great Soundtrack, better than V's.

It remixes a lot of old Suikoden tunes (even some from Suikoden II! I was totally blown away by that!). And the new compositions all range from ok to excellent.

It's a great soundtrack, though the quality of the synth isn't exactly 100% as good as it could have been (blame the DS for this, not the composers). I'd say it's far better than 3 and matches 5.

Yes, it's much better listening directly from the CD.

Now, if only they didn't break the entire OST into two separate releases...

They did that? Oh well, as fond as I am of the soundtrack that means I will have to shell out the extra dough for both :?

Played the game for 4 hours and so far I have no complaints about the music at all. Very good :)

Awesome info.

Too bad that the NA preorder is in MP3 format (128kbps no less), instead of some other lossless format.

It only goes to prove how much Konami of America cares about Suikoden at this point. I hope someone at KoA finally says "yes" to having OSTs sold over here.

About the OSTs, you can always import though. I highly doubt there's enough market for soundtracks here to justify otherwise.
