Pigs in White Deer Inn

Has anyone else noticed that the pigs outside the inn,start to decrease in number along with the cat on the top of the stable till they disappear?

Once you have access to Muse there are 4 pigs,but by the time you are going to explore the Sindar ruins there are 3 pigs,and they start to decrease in number from time to time,during your stay in Muse city,till the fall of Muse where all the pigs would be disappeared if you visit the inn.

That's really strange...what's the point of this?

I guess this is to show how the Highland army devastates the country and they have to butcher the pigs to live or something like that. Nice little detail.

Or Alex and Hilda,forget to feed the pigs and they die. That's the1st thing that i thought

Hilda made some nice bacon sandwiches for the road when the family left the inn.
