Tbh, i never knew about the ''stat stone trick''. Does that mean you dont really care about getting the best results in stats after you level up since you will max the stats for every character if you use the ''stat stone trick''?

And the maximum in HP and MP? Can i max those too?
Does the stat stone trick work with Suikoden 2 too?

It works in this game as well but stat stones are called "rune pieces". In my opinion this is an exploit so I never used that.
Aside from that, you can get an unlimited amount of defense, magic, luck and speed rune pieces.
Basic stats max out at 255. Some character are able to reach that without rune pices. You can get a higher stat with bonuses from runes and armor though.
HP cannot be increased with items. Four characters can reach HP > 1.000. Fu Su Lu can get a max HP of 1.100.
MP depends on the magic stat and max out on 9/9/9/9.
