Suikoden one of Top 7 Mispronounced Game Names

Well, its nothing important, except the first time I saw Suikoden in an article in a long time. It got onto the front page of Digg.

Man the artwork on the original sucked. I dont like to think it but maybe Suikoden would have been more popular if it had just been called "Stars of Destiny" but hey what can you do?

I wish I could say they did'nt have a point but how many threads have been made about how you correctly say the name.

god, i had a friend in high school i introduced the game to and hated how he kept calling it "SU KO DEN" #$%#

Haha, well at first I pronounced it like Su-e-ko-den, than I called for one of the games and the guy was like Swee-ke-den or something like that.

Fancy that, me doing something right. But yeah, I had a friend who I introduced to the series, and he kept pronouncing it "So Kee Den". It boggled me. But I didn't hold it against him, because he bought me my copy of the original Suikoden.

haha! Oh my... I am one of those who pronounces it wrong also. For me, Suikoden = Sue Ko Den. Grats to those who pronounce it right

I was glad to see I'd been pronouncing it correctly so long. Ys I knew how to pronounce for some reason long before I ever played it, I used to read a lot so I guess that's where I figured it out. Like Taliesin.

L'Renouille is pronounced "el rah noo yah" at least in French
