Oppenheimer

Postby bluemask » Tue Oct 03, 2017 8:51 am

Hello, all. Hope you guys still remember me... a casual like 3 years ago? Lol.

I've noticed that in this website, it says one of the well-known Oppenheimer is an atomic bomb creator. But after seeing this video about diamonds KFCrispy has shared on the General Boards, I think Ernest Oppenheimer could be a more plausible inspiration for Millich's surname. Diamonds are a sign of elegance and wealth right, right? Lol. Reading too much into this.

You rang?
I always thought that the game was an unusual choice as well. Is it possible they didn't know the reference?

Hi there! I'm glad the Site Admin is still active, pretty much XD. Hello!

Most likely the reference is not even known at all, as the Trivia page on the said site sounds more like a personal opinion. I just thought that, in case it was pure coincidence, it was somewhat cool nothing much to it though.

Who knows, but it'S funny that Ernest Oppenheimer's Wikipedia article has soo many Suikoden names:

- De Beers (used in Suikoden V)
- Kimberley
- Morgan

Well... Oppenheimer and De Beers competed together as seen on the video. De Beers kind of reminds me more of De Boule as in Vincent De Boule. But lol, that listing of names is Indeed funny!

Murayama is quite well-read, so I always thought Oppenheimer was a reference to the atom bomb -- the poisonous pollen are sort of like a nuclear weapon.

Oh ya. Didn't quite got that bit. Lol, that seems more plausible than my observation now
