Why all the nice jrpg things nowdays are for portable console?

I wish this things returned to the big consoles, the only jrpgs we get this days are Ateliers

I think it depends on how big the game is. As I see it, most portable jrpgs are mission based and repetitive back in the PSP days. I'm not sure how Vita fares but I think it also depends on what the publisher think will sell. The only games that stay on track in the big consoles are those which are part of a franchise say.. GTA, Mario, AC, TES and of course, games that are created by companies with smash-hit games.

Speaking of jrpgs, it's not just the Ateliers, there is still the Tales series, Final Fantasy (hate to bring this up).

However... some series have gone the portable path such as Persona and Disgaea.
