Ah, I don't remember this part very well. That Dirk thing is a bit of a spoiler, mind. I remember having to fight him a couple of times.
Have you been to the ruined El Qaral yet? If no, then I guess that's your next destination.
Otherwise, then it's probably time to investigate Larohenga.
