If Konami really cared about the series, they wouldn't be turning it into a Saturday morning cartoon style kids game. If this game succeeds, that's all we're going to get from now on.

Strangely enough, I'd like to point you back toward sales numbers of the past main-series games and their influence on the series.

Suikoden 2 sold the most (416K in Japan), riding on the success (and being that damned good in the first place) is Suikoden 3. Suikoden 4 sold about 60K less than that, showing a slight decline. Suikoden 5 is currently the worst selling main-series Suikoden game ever, raking in UNDER 200K sales. The only games that ever sold worse than Suikoden 5 have been the spinoffs, of which Tierkreis is part of.

I don't get why you're getting your panties bunched up over something that's clearly a way to get people interested in Suikoden again. Give people an introductory game on DS, release that previously rated Suikoden version on PlayStation Network and then announce Suikoden 6. Chances are, if they're already working on Suikoden 6 they already decided what they want to do with the game. Tierkreis probably has little to no impact on how the sixth title will end up.
