Um. So does anyone know how to specifically unlock these trading items? I've been trading for quite some time and so traded quite a lot already. But I haven't really "unlocked" anything so far. I know I may need some more but does anyone know the specific requirements for this?

And also, do we just need to trade or do we need 'specialize' a certain town like you sell lots of Gold & Silver to Haud to possibly get the Gold Craftwork unlocked in that town? In other words, do we buy and sell a lot from specific towns or can be from any and sell to any to "unlock" these new trading items...

I haven't really done much trading, but from the looks of the posts in the thread, I don't think there's any specialty town that you have to sell the items to. Just as long as you trade enough items, new ones will be unlocked.

There's a trading FAQ up at GameFaqs (which I made a small contribution to) that has all the trading price info in text format.

As for unlocking the "advanced" trading materials... yeah, some of them take quite a while. I unlocked them all just from stubbornness and OCD, but by the time I got my last few they were really irrelevant in that I could make money far more quickly with a good potch-funding setup in battle.

I've just located to the dwarfs camp and i have over 50 bars of gold and silver and i'm still waiting for the price to skyrocket somewhere but it hasn't yet. will it or does it require so many of it or what

The price of Gold and Silver will Only go down with traders saying that the dwarves struck the vein of gold and silver in their caves.

And Only in Dwarves camp will the price go down to like 10000 during this time.

Haud Village is buying gold and silver for 60000 potch, which is probably the most in the game.

do you have to sell the items in one spot or if you just trade as you go by to whatever town yoiure in????

you just need to mass trade them, so anywhere is fine. it definitely takes a while to unlock some items.

and once youve unlocked one of those?
is it available everywhere or just at the place youve sold them???

do you have to open unlock them at all the trading post like in suikoden IV or when it is unlocked you have acess to them at all the trading Posts?????

you can't just buy a bunch and sell a bunch and expect them to unlock.. i've tried that. you need to trade the items often. not sure about what the exact requirements are.

the item will unlock for all trade shops once you unlock it.

ive figured it out
its not how many you sell.
its how much profit you make by buying low and selling high.

how'd you figure that out? you'd have to compare a game where you sold tons of items for small profit to unlock an item vs a game where you only sold a few items for the highest profit..

because i sell items only where i make the most profit and the all came available pretty soon.
