Question about Eresh and Euram

I'm playing Suikoden 5 for the first time. I'm up to the part where I'm able to recruit Eresh (though i believe there's supposed to be comments in the box from Jeane and there aren't).

Regardless, I know the two characters are either/or in terms of recruitment.

What I'm wondering is, can I enter the ruins where Eresh is to clean out all the items and leave without recruiting her so I can get Euram later?
