What's coming back later going to do? I'm advancing a whole lot of time, as stated, so I can't see time being the issue here. If anything, it seems like the trade route and/or rumors are stuck on lowering sugar, and no mater what I do I can't seem to change this. I've let enough time pass so that the rumors should changed to something else by now, but they never do.

I know this probably sounds like whining, considering how many people have problems with this guy, but I have read up on what to do, and I understand how it's supposed to work. After 10 hours of trying to get the trade rumors to change and getting nothing to happen, something seems stuck. If anyone can offer any insight into what is going on or how to fix the problem, I'd love to hear from you.

Did you advance the plot? Just keep checking every time you finish recruiting someone else

Did you actually talk to Sairoh himself instead of the trader?
