Question on recruiting Sairoh

Post by Juan »

Because in the walkthrough his recruitment is after the battle in Rainwall. And the description on how to get him is he will ask you to decrease the price of salt and he will ask you this after you defended Raftfleet. So I'm confused can you recruit Sairoh after the battle at Rainwall or after you defended Raftfleet?

It's been a while, but once I recruited him even earlier than the battle at Rainwall (I remember, because I had him in the war battle). Just as long as you have access to Raftfleet, and you fulfill the requirements (the price of salt is high, and you sell the six salts to bring the price down), he'll join you.

Now that I think about it, I recruited him on the way back from Lunas (escorting Logg and Lun to Raftfleet). I've only been able to do it once, but I'd like to do it again.

Err.. but to answer your question, the walkthrough probably means Rainwall.

Every time I play SV, I buy a bunch of salts as early as Sol-Falena and just hold on to them until Raftlfleet. Sairoh is, I believe, the earliest possible recruit amongst optional characters, so you can get him pretty much as soon as you are allowed to recruit characters. You just have to wait for him to mention the salt prices.

You have to speak to him now and then in Raftfleet. When he tells you that the Prices for salt have gone sky high, then sell them right next to him and he will be impressed :) Here he is. Piece of cake. The only thing that concerned me back in the day was the randomness of the event :)
