Online Stores Suikoden V Pre-Order (Last Update: 2005-11-28)

Post by Basel »

Hi,

I know I should have posted this topic under 'Buying the Games' forum but I think this is a more suitable forum at the moment

You can pre-order Suikoden V from Amazon.co.jp at the following link 幻想水滸伝V(通常版) 特典 プレミアムDVD付き. This is NOT the special edition that King talked about.
I searched for the game under http://www.7dream.com after I saw SARS topic titled "Suikoden 5 Scenario Writer Revealed" but I could not find it.

Edit: I found the following online store which is offering the limited edition as well: 幻想水滸伝V at http://www.rakuten.co.jp
Normal Edition ISBN: 4988602124774
Limited Eidition ISBN: 4988602128420

EDIT 2: I have assembled the two lists below to make it easier for members to pre-order suikoden V.

Genso Suikoden V Limited Edition – ISBN 4988602128420
* Official Konami Store (Konami-Style) (In Japanese) – IMP: Konami-Style will accept pre orders starting on 2005.12.15

They assuredly will, but it won't be nearly as good as the limited edition from Japan. I plan on buying one myself, but it's a bit pricey.

The thing that disappoints me the most is: Europeans don't have as big a chance to get anything like "limited edition"...

It's going to happen with Rhapsodia (most likely), and with this one too. Darn.

Wait... pre-ordering? THIS EARLY?

It's not as if Europeans alone are the ones that don't get limited editions. Americans and Canadians don't get this kinda stuff either.

Michael, look here: http://www.the-magicbox.com/gaming.htm Search "Suikoden" and you'll find the information instantly.

I'm not sure why this is so suprising, since they made a limited edition of Suikoden IV that was only available for a limited time. I bought one of those also, and it contained dumb things like a Suikoden IV-themed memory card and a keychain (oh boy, a keychain...). The artbook was nice though, and the packaging look super cool.

Could you please tell us where you ordered the limited edition for Suikoden IV from? As of Suikoden V, do you know of any website that ships worldwide and is in English or at least has English support similar to Amazon.co.jp?

Edit: I found the following two websites that are in English and have the limited edition:
1. Suikoden 5 [Limited Edition] at http://www.play-asia.com - Shipping Options and Delivery Times
2. Genso Suikoden V Limited Edition [Preorder] at the old shop of http://www.ncsx.com
Did anyone use these online stores before? How did you find them?

The limited edition version of Suikoden IV is no longer in production (hence the term 'limited edition') and you might be able to find some of the items over at some auction sites, or possibly Amazon. I'd be shocked if you found the entire limited edition set in its entirety.

The Suikoden V limited edition (box set, probably) will be well worth your money, even if you don't know Japanese.

I was asking about the sotre where you got the limited edition of Suikoden IV from so that I can place my pre-order for Suikoden V limited edition.

If you look at the following SuikoX thread, it seems a few people have ordered from play-asia.com already, I am going to as soon as my credit card clearance comes through ( getting a credit card to buy this game hee hee ).

The reason I'm getting is for the extras of course.

"...which includes the game, an artbook, Soundtrack CD and The History of Genso Suikoden DVD (pictures, interviews, music and all 108 characters in every Genso Suikoden title in the series)"

That's a fat load of extras and a must have for any die hard Suikoden fan with too much money :P
