Next war battles

Post by Crowley's_Apprentice »

First, there were land wars
Then, there were naval battles
...
so
why not airborne battles in the next suikoden???? 0_o

Well, if that happens, it would have to be dragons who do it (which would be pretty interesting to see), as long as Konami doesn't introduce some other similar species.

oo wow. i know suikoden one had that special with dragons but actual airborne dragon wars. that would be cool but i dont think it would be possible since only dragon warriors can control dragons and all. I guess they can introduce not new species but ones we have like fubar (griffin) the flying bug, i forget the name of him but franz rides him and other things that fly. like winged people and stuff. Im not sure. konami could do better than me

They cannot have fully airborne wars because the enemies usually do not get any flying units on their side. The only exception was the Owls of Tactics' fame, but it's a follow-up of Suikoden IV, so that doesn't really count. Does it?

Airborne battles seem to be a natural course of action. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't happen for a while though.

Wingers could be reintroduced into airborne battles.

I thought wingers couldn't really fly, thier wings just helped them jump higher and keep them in the air a little longer.

Hmmm I remember Chaco flying a couple times. Am I mistaken? Also, when Two-Rivers was under attack didn't the wingers fly by and drop rocks or something?

They did. But i don't think they are capable of fighting in the air for long periods of time. If Wingers are introduced in war battles they'll just fly low over the enemy. I don't think they can go very high. Thats why I want dragons.

Or in the next suikoden they have a technology advancement-maybe discover some sindar crap-that allows them to create flying vehicles...

I think there could be some airborne aspects to the fight. For example, some enemy wingers are starting to fly over to our base camp...lets send the Griffons or something. However, I think the main battles will always mostly be done on land.
