What is the best way and cheap way to play Suikogaiden on a North American PS2?

If you can find a realiable soruce for a mod chip.. I've never seen or know of anyone that can do a mod chip without Breaking your PS2..

Just install a modchip... It's easy to install one... Just have a soldering rod and your modchip and install it..

This is my plan: buy swap disks, cheapest PS2 console I can find and a flip-top to play S3. Reasonable?

I think they do and yea swap disk is the cheapest way and safest way to go. You could give em a call when their open which is only monday,wednesday,and friday and i think their hours are like 12-5, or just try to email them.(I prefer talking to a person but since you in uk that might cost ya) But the people who work they can answer all your questions and their highly educated in the gaming industry.
