He took Eugene and Reinbach as samples.
By that rule, any character'd have LH slot open as default, RH slot unsealed at 60 magic and Head slot unsealed at 120 magic.
For Eugene and Reinbach, they got their head slots occupied with permanent runes by default so they need just 60 magic to have the other two slots available.

So these characters who each have a fixed rune on their head also have already opened their left hand slot?

Or those characters suddenly open up 2 more rune slots at 60 MAG resulting in them having 3 rune slots?

Everyone has LH slot open as default? Can someone check?

Just look at this list again http://suikosource.com/games/gs4/guides/initial.php

Most RH slots are occupied while LH is either fixed/empty
Also when LH is occupied, RH is also occupied. This further proves that RH opens up first

My guess is that RH opens by default so the real order is

RH, LH, and Head

not

LH, RH, and Head

How would you rank Mitsuba? Honestly, I couldn't remember why I used her in my perfect file

-She's only good at strength/luck/HP and average or lame at other stats , so statswise speaking she doesn't really suit to any pure role
-With low magic growth , most of the time she'll just have 2 slots at level 99
-Doesn't have any unique rune or good unite to make her stand out.
-Her runes affinity isnt good at all
-Low skill will cause her miss quite often and lower the chance to critical hit(thanks to high luck pull this up to average)
-Low speed makes her a bad healer/supporter
-high Hp but low evade, low def, average mdef relatively make her a bad tanker.

Overall, mitsuba's average at physical offence but still risk to miss quite often and bad at everything else

Maybe it's the fact that she's available really early in the game, I recruited her as early as before the fight against Akaghi and Mizuki

Yesterday i finished the final boss, and it was REALLY a joke. I remember playing it 7 years ago,and it was a real pain, but the only thing you need is right customization of your characters, and the rest is easy.

All my characters were under level 60,particularly:

Lazlo: lv 56 (RoP,Warrior,Double-beat) weapon lv 16
Lino: lv 53 (Double-beat,Killer) weapon lv 15
Flare: lv 52 (Flowing,Cyclone) weapon lv 10
Snowe: lv 56 (Fury,Warrior + complete Hero's armor set) weapon lv 16

(Personaly i like using in my team, characters who are related together  )

The "True Friends" unite attack at 3rd level deals about almost 5k damage, with this customization. So i strongly recomend Snowe (after learning "True Friends" attack),in your last party along with your hero. The other 2 characters might be whoever you like,it doesn't matter a lot.

P.S. Snowe wore his knight armor btw,i don't know if his outfits, can influence his stats

No, the outfit only affects his appearance .

Your snowe and lazlo would be even stronger if you equip them with Ogre set and double strike rune instead of fury rune.

Yeah you are right,Ogre set,is like having an extra fury rune, since it''s gives you permanent fury status...but problem is that it's way too boring to find those pieces to make the armors...uhhhh... :x

And for those, who wish to finish the game with only the non-optional characters.

Best team is Lazlo,Kika,Lino and Mizuki.

Have your character a flowing rune (as a leftover from a previous game, since you won't have any flowing rune here),and a double-edge or a warrior rune,to the other 3. You don't need to upgrade your weapons over level 12...trust me.

It would be a very long battle though, and it will last over 10 turns.

Hands down to mizuki and kika. Haven't calculated yet but I think dario and chiepoo are mandatory characters who have more potential than Lino.

Wait, there's no set in this game most suited for tanking, like Ogre Set is for boosting physical attacks?
It's not all about knowledge, but it helps.

there is, the Pirate King set is awesome for tanks, you can solo the final boss with it.
