I always thought Georg Prime was a great name. It fits his legendary status. I like alot of the characters whos names have a first and a last. They did a good job for the most part when putting the names together. I also like Chris Lightfellow, Lucretia Merces, Ferid and Skald Eagan, Shula Valya (The Armes names were cool, almost Egyptian or Persian), and heres the greatest name Lino En Kuldes its just awesome haha.

Yep Sierra Mikain is definitly one of the great names. Georg Prime is a great name and hes a great character, my favorite of the series lets hope he makes some more appearances. S1 actualy had a few cool names too like Kasim Hazil, Teo McDohl, Sonya Shulen, Milich Oppenheimer, Humphrey Mintz, and Joshua of the Dragon Knights (he had a cool last name i can't remember).

Suikoden 3 the worst..
Aye, they didn't stand out as much as the other Suikodens. They lack that certain flavor. Or maybe some of them were just too normal.

You mean Suikoden III was the worst as far as names go? I can agree with that, they were in fact too normal. I never liked the name Hugo (plus they already have a Hugo in SI), Chris is too boring, and Geddoe is something I never heard before yet still boring and a bit odd. The card theme for his team would have been cute if they didn't mistranslate Jack into Jacques or make Geddoe's not fit. Even the minor character's names were normal, like Thomas and Boris (we already had a Boris in II as well) and Ellaine. It's not that I have anything against those names, but the historical/religious themed names in V were quite fun, and it's a nice bonus to be able to look up their origins and perhaps find links to them and the character/game.

I thought the names for SIII were pretty fitting for each character

Although, some of the Zexen names really shine
Percival Fraulein, .Chris Lightfellow, Roland Lazarus (not entirely sure about this one)

plus the name Jordi accompanied by his title Sgt. cant be beat

But SV really takes the cake for awesome names

I don't think S3 had that many bad names just most of the bad names in the series are from S3 like Kenji or Kidd. I agree, I think all of the Zexen names were great and fitting. Chris Lightfellow is legendary, Percival is smoothe yet elegant, Leo is basic but powerful, Borus is loud and fierce, Roland and Salome both seem like intellegent names and all of these names fit the type of person each character is.

Again I must agree SV definitly took the take when it came to names: Georg Prime, Lucretia Merces, Craig Laden, Ferid;Skald; and Bernadette Eagan, Wilhelm, Mueller, Toma, and of course Belcoot. Those are just a few that I thought were really good names for their characters.

I always thought Belcoot sounded really weird. I also have a strange connotation to the word "cooter" thanks to my ex-boyfriend, which has a lot to do with it, and his name makes me think of that.

Why Georg?
Why not George?
Well, I guess that's okay...
Though he has one of the best nick name IMO: "Deathblow"
I can almost imagine the pain Georg's enemies felt...
Cool...

Yeah, it's the german form of George. Too bad they mispronounce it in Suikoden V.

Yeah, it's odd that they have German names like Georg and Mathias in V yet they pronounce them the English way. I'd rather they use the native pronunciations, or change the names to match the English. Preferably the former, since V had a lot of cool foreign names.

When do they speak "Mathias"? :-O

There are a lot of German names in the SME... Mathiu seems to be some mixture of Mathias and Matthew. Heinz is another example, I guess they chose that because it's so easy to pronounce :D (I hope they'll never include a Heinrich, because I will think of Medal of Honor multiplayer immediately^^)

I'm pretty sure they said it at some point, but it's been awhile since I've played so I don't know where. I know he and Isabelle talk though, so I can't imagine his name not coming up.
