I do believe it is supposed to be Barbarossa in the top left hand corner, beneath him is Ted, beneath him is Windy, the one in the right hand corner could either be Luc (he has a rod with a thingy on top of it, reminds me of toilet paper) or Tir, because doesn't Tir's staff have a golden like ball on either end? The one below the top right hand person is most likely Odessa, and beneath her is the SoulEater. Also, Futch on top of Black in the background.

Hold on, those corny looking characters on the American cover is equal to the Japanese cover? Look at Tir! he looks like a tool! They all look like characters from a b film, at least the Japanese cover was just the mural. It looked good compared to ours.
How is this ... http://www.vgmuseum.com/scans/psx/02/sui.jpg
EDIT: Japanese cover http://www.altpop.com/stc/pics-large/gsuiko.jpg (I know it is the soundtrack, but it is the same as the game :( or see buff's link above my post.)

It's very different from the US version. The US version has entirely different graphics on the front of the box. Does anyone have the back of the box for compairson?

Wow interesting, that's very different than the NTSC version that I have. There are 6 pics on my version but four of them are the same as on that version. It dosen't have nearly as cool a bit about the SME though, it has something rather lame. but it does have points under that about more than 100 recruits and multiple battle modes, etc. Also it has a lot of chineese characters all over it for decoration. I don't have a scanner otherwise I'd show you.

Unfortunately not. That is the Suikoden I Pal box, but I have no idea about the Suikoden II. Ours is exactly the same as the US version:

http://www.vgmuseum.com/scans/psx/02/sui2.jpg

Just have the black 'Playstation' strip along the bottom and get rid of the rating system and it's PAL.

*Edit*

And here's an actual image:

*2nd edit*

How embarassing! Just opened up my Suikoden II box, and realised that the image Buff has is of the Suikoden II manual.

Aha! Who needs a scanner. I found all the pictures through a little bit of searching. In case you're interested:

Front Cover NTSC Suikoden I: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y71/Va ... ikoden.jpg

Back Cover NTSC Suikoden I:
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y71/Va ... kodenI.jpg

Disc Graphics NTSC Suikoden I:
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y71/Va ... ikoden.jpg

It looks really juvenile compared to the PAL art.

Edit:  Apparently I should take my own advice and look around a little before posting. All the NTSC pictures are already represented on the first page. Well, at least the disc is new, so I'm not a complete moron.

Does anyone know what all those Chinese (or Japanese?) characters are on the back of the box?
