Luca Blight's past...

I know the whole story about him and his mother, but when is this actually fleshed out in the game? I know that there's a couple of sentences in the game that Luca very briefly and very vaguely describes what happened, but was there some other scene that I missed? I got the impression from a lot of different people that the whole ordeal was tragic and heart-breaking when they played the game. Call me a monster, but from what I've seen so far (and I've beaten the game already) there wasn't all that much to be sad about. What did I miss? I never even heard Luca mention that Jillia was the result of the violation...

I don't really remember it being touched on very much in Suikoden 2. I remember Luca briefly mention it after poisoning his father, but not in detail.
