The Man In The Iron Mask

Post by yuberluc »

Does everybody knows where luc received the mask?
where it from?is it from grasslanders? (it looks by the design of mask)
i mean so not like 'harmonian' design.. more like a tribe ( a little bit like a bird if u see it)..

My guess is Sarah made it for him.
Or it could be from the syndar ruins, that he found on his journey.

He needed the mask for the ceremonial rituals that he and his gang participated in, once he completed those rituals, he could then remove it and reveal himself.

But, don't you think Viki, Jeane, Lucia and any other character who battled alongside Luc would know that he is Luc even with the mask? I mean come on, he had the same body feachers of course they should have known it was him from the offset.

That mask could very well be the face of that dude we want to see so much. Hikusaak.

Well now that u've mention it, yes.. they should know about it, especially viki, she 'd travel time to time,n meet luc several time... one time(i forgot in suikoden 1 or 2) viki express her feeling that luc is a nice person actually.. she felt pity to luc because he seemed so lonely, guarding the tablet of star alone..

Btw in chapter 4 or 5(i forgot,,) in suikoden 3,has anybody tried when hugo or chris or geddoe met luc(unmasked) n bring Viki in our team, are there an extra dialogue or scene that viki knows luc?? hmmm might wanna try that, just come up in my mind..

Lucia, Jeane or Viki probably could have(well maybe not Viki, she isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, I mean, she isn't even sure if she has or hasn't met Jeane before), but of course none of these characters necessarily comes in contact with Luc directly in this game. One must be careful to not confuse the player's experience with the experience of all the characters. However, there are several characters who could potentially recognize Luc far earlier than his scene without the mask, such as Nash(who would have learned/deduced it from working with Sasarai, who obviously knows who Luc is, although not his intentions)

and of course, Luc is an identical twin/clone/brother to Sasarai, and may even sound similar, and it's very likely that if he actually chose to wear the more traditional garb of a Harmonian Bishop like Sasarai does, most people would be unable to tell them apart.

Leknaat owned the mask. Luc used to play with the mask when he was younger, and apparently took it with him to hide his identity. That's the official info I read in the Genso Shinsho.
