I've already recruited Arthur using another character

If there's no way to get there, that means I've already missed the Karayan urn

You might be able to get it with Chris and Nash. Been awhile so I don't remember if you can get to it without it being plot/recruitment related. Also, I'm not sure if the critters you fight change then either.

you enter from the East entrance to Brass Castle and just walk over to where Chris snuck out. the door may not be available until a certain point, but it's definitely accessible during all/most of Chapters 4 and 5.

the map will show a small yellow bar in the middle, which is the entrance to the Secret Passage, not the merchant (which is indicated by a dot, if i recall)

yeah, I know. it appears you can't enter the passage on thomas chapters unless you're trying to recruit arthur

yeah, only characters who have snuck into the passage can access it again. So Hugo and later Chris will be able to access it, plus either thomas or geddoe, whomever you choose to recruit arthur with.

so if you didn't recruit Arthur with Geddoe and made him FC, he wouldn't have access to it?

Geddoe would have access to it by Chapter 4 if he were the Flame Champion and someone else had recruited Arthur, or chapter 5 when you get to control him.

So what you're saying is that when someone else had recruited Arthur:
1.If geddoe is FC, he would have access to the secret passage by chapter 4 onwards
2.If geddoe is not FC, he can only access the secret passage at chapter 5

that is the crux of it. Once all three main character narratives combine into a single thread in chapter 4, you gain access to every location. So in chapter 4, Geddoe and Hugo can finally go to Alna Kinan if they're the flame champion, likewise Geddoe and Chris can now access the underground highway, and Chris and Hugo can now reach Le Buque. Of course in chapter 4 you only control one character, so you might need to wait until chapter 5 to make it to certain locations with a specific specific character. Sadly the Guild hall will remain limited in access to just Chris.
